Scandimonium is a Triangle area music group that specializes in traditional and modern Nordic folk dance tunes. Their lively nordic performance includes fiddles, mandolins, hammered dulcimers, concertinas, clarinets, cellos, keyboards and light percussion.
12:30PM – 2PM DIALI CISSOKHO & KAIRA BA
Diali Cissokho & Kaira Ba explore the spiritual songs, stories, and rhythms of Senegal’s millenia-old Mandé culture. Cissokho comes from a long line of prominent griots, or storytellers, who are entrusted to maintain a West African village’s most important ceremonial affairs through song. But he is much more than a preservationist. Cissokho and his band, Kaira Ba, effortlessly integrate the traditional sounds of the kora with a modern rush of electric guitar and an exuberant rhythm section. Together, Diali Cissokho & Kaira Ba sustain one of West Africa’s most expressive legacies with their own energetic interpretations.
2:30PM – 4PM LASSYA SCHOOL OF DANCE AND MUSIC
Mrs.Sridevi Jagannath founded the Lassya School of Dance and Music a decade ago in Triangle. Her mom Karnataka Kalashree Smt. Ranganayaki Rajan, who is an internationally acclaimed artist is the guru for the Laasya students in Indian classical vocal music and a percussion instrument called Mridangam. Laasya school music students will be presenting music as the soul of India in a fusion style by beginning with an Indian semi-classical song in praise of Lord Ganesha, the Lord of Beginnings and rendering the Indian patriotic song, Vandemataram in different styles and variations. They will finish their presentation with an Indian classical Raaga sung in Western style accompanied by keyboard, western classical violin and mridangam.
4:30PM – 6PM FOLKLORIC FASHION SHOW
Traditional and modern styles and attires from the world presented by international models. The fashion show is presented under direction of Highlights Concepts Image Consulting.
6:30PM – 8PM RICARDO DIQUEZ & THE TROPIC ORCHESTRA
Ricardo Diquez and The Tropic Orchestra is a Caribbean dance Orchestra, consisting of local and international musicians. Ricardo has been singing all of his life and has entertained crowds and dancers in the area for over 20 years. Since its beginning back in October of 2007 the band has had a busy performing schedule. This versatile group includes musicians from the United States, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Venezuela. Many of the band’s members have been involved in the local and international Latin music scenes previously, in both recordings and performances with Roberto Roena y su Apollo Sound, Carnavalito, El Grupo Cardi, Orquesta GarDel, Ciclon Band, Sajaso, El Grupo Camaleon, Fusion Caribe, Sarengue, Songo, La Sexta Clave, Charanga Carolina and Conjunto 23.

Kevin and Debbie weave a tapestry of Irish stories through song into a dynamic and thoroughly entertaining experience. This is good-time Irish pub music at its finest – a lively and spirited performance the entire family will enjoy.
