201 E Davie Street
Join us throughout October + November as we celebrate Mexican culture and traditions through art. An exhibition by Julio Gonzalez curated by Rafael Osuba will be on view in Studio 206, + work by local Latinx artists in the corridors. Workshops will be held exploring various Mexican art techniques. Latinx youth will create two ofrendas in the lobby. One ofrenda will be created by Pepe Caudillo and the Brentwood Boys + Girls Club and the other by Lety Alvarez and her students. And be sure to come see us on Saturday October 26 at Centro’s Day of the Dead 5k where we’ll have a make and take + art installation. Día de Muertos’ programming is partially supported by a cultural arts grant by the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County.
