Nora Hernandez

North Carolina

Nora Hernandez was born and raised in Honduras, Central America. She moved to New York and years later to North Carolina. Nora’s love for the arts began by the education she received in her native country at “Triunfo de La Cruz Institute” where she studies and enjoy poetry and fine arts. Nora’s love for the art also was influenced by Don Lorenzo Alvarenga, a father of 11 children who enjoy the fine art, books, music and traveling. Her desire to paint is to express her passion and love for life, captured on the canvas through colors and techniques that reflect thoughts and life experiences as people come into her life.

Nora has been creating art since 2001. She participated as member of the El Greco To Velázquez Advisory Committee Nasher Museum, 2008. Also, as an Ambassador For A Night in Golden Age Spain To welcome His Excellency Don Jorge Dezcallar, Ambassador Spain for El Greco To Velazquez At The Nasher Museum, 2008. http://nasher.duke.edu/elgreco/

Her fine Art has been as part of Exhibitions at: The Raleigh Convention Center, Art By Us, The North Carolina Museum of History, Governor’s Administration Building and Privet Exhibitions.
