Internship Program

College students gain excellent work and portfolio experience by assisting on projects aligned with their interests. Positions include data maintenance, research, communication, marketing, and planning for programs and events. Applicants will have interest in international affairs, history, and the arts.

Multimedia Marketing Intern

Seeking a talented Junior or Senior Communications, Marketing, or similar major(s) to help manage our social media presence and engage with our community. As a multimedia marketing intern you will be responsible for multiple weekly post, as well as newsletter and other community engagement work. The position is hybrid and for those in the Research Triangle Area the position is unpaid.

Internship Requirements:

  • Strong writing abilities (writing sample required)
  • Photography, graphic design, and video content proficiency
  • Proficiency in social media usage: Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Experience with various video conferencing platforms, including zoom, Microsoft teams
  • Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions
  • Great interest in the international community, travel, international relations, and related topics

Basic Requirements: 

  • Undergraduate or Graduate student (college)
  • Must be accepted/enrolled full-time in an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Submission of resume and cover letter
  • Submission of two references (name, contact and relationship to applicant)
  • Passionate about our vision/mission
  • Ability to write and communicate effectively
  • Capable of taking initiative

Exchange Programs Intern

Seeking a talented Junior or Senior International Studies/Relations, Political Science, or similar major(s) to help design and implement our International Professional Exchange Programs. We are looking for someone with interest in a career in International Relations who is looking for the opportunity to dip their toes into the field. The position is hybrid and for those in the Research Triangle Area the position is unpaid.

Internship Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Computer skills
  • Proficiency in social media usage:  Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Proficiency with Google suite and Microsoft outlook and office, cloud-based document, and online project tools
  • Experience with various video conferencing platforms, including zoom and Microsoft teams
  • Outstanding diplomatic manners
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and responsible
  • Independent worker with a strong sense of initiative
  • Able to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced setting (from basic to complex tasks)
  • A good sense of humor is a plus

  • Must be accepted/enrolled full-time in an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Submission of Resume and Cover letter
  • Submission of two references (name, contact and relationship to applicant)
  • Signature of IF non-disclosure agreement (NDA), due to access to sensitive data and information to perform tasks
  • Passionate about our vision/mission
